WickLogs

Cookies and local storage

Last updated: 2026-10-05

WickLogs stores data in your browser only where the service cannot work without it. It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Because of that, there is no cookie banner and nothing for you to accept.

1. What WickLogs stores in your browser

  • Login cookie: set by our login system when you sign in. It keeps you signed in and is sent to our server with each request. On the live site it is a "secure" cookie, only sent over HTTPS. Without it you cannot use your account. It lasts for the session, or longer if you tick "Remember me".
  • Theme setting (local storage, key "theme"): remembers light or dark mode.
  • Display unit (local storage, key "wl-view-unit"): remembers whether you view results in dollars, ticks, points, percent, R or privacy mode.
  • Onboarding progress (local storage, key "wl-onboarding-v1"): remembers which setup steps you finished.
  • Screenshots (IndexedDB, database "wicklogs-media"): images you attach to trades or journal days stay in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers at the moment.

These are strictly necessary for the service you asked for or are settings you choose, so no consent is needed. You can delete them any time in your browser settings. Doing so signs you out and resets those settings.

2. What WickLogs does not use

No analytics, no advertising or retargeting, no social-media pixels, no fingerprinting. Fonts are served from WickLogs itself, not from a font provider.

3. Third parties your browser contacts

  • News publishers: the homepage news strip shows headline images. Your browser loads them straight from the publishers' servers (for example Yahoo Finance, CNBC, Investing.com, MarketWatch, FXStreet). Those servers see your IP address and may set their own cookies. We send no referrer. Clicking a headline takes you to the publisher's site.
  • Paddle checkout: only on the pricing and checkout pages, Paddle's checkout runs in your browser and may store its own data to process the payment and prevent fraud. This is described in Paddle's privacy notice (https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy). WickLogs does not control it.

4. Changes

If we ever add anything that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first and update this page. Questions: info@wicklogs.com.
