Terms of Service

1. Scope and language

These Terms cover the WickLogs website, desktop app and chart plugins (together, the Service). The contract is made in English, online. It is not signed on paper.

You can read, save and print these Terms on the website at any time. We keep your account data while your account exists (see the Privacy Policy). The desktop app also has its own licence text at /eula, which forms part of these Terms.

2. What the Service is

WickLogs is a trading journal and analytics tool for futures traders. It captures your trades and the orderflow around them from your platform, stores them, and shows them back to you with statistics and a journal.

It is not a broker, an exchange, an investment adviser or any other financial service. It does not place or manage trades.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract. You can be a private person (consumer) or a business. Where these Terms give rights only to consumers, they say so.

4. Your account

• To register you accept the Privacy Policy, which includes the sale of pseudonymized trade data (see section 7), and these Terms, and you confirm you are 18 or older.
• Give correct details and keep your login safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if someone else uses it.
• WickLogs may currently be invite-only. Access can depend on a waitlist invite.
• You can delete your account at any time on the Account page. This ends the contract. Paid plans are cancelled separately at Paddle (section 6).

5. Plans: Free, Pro and Lifetime

• Free: access to the parts of the Service that WickLogs offers without payment, as shown on the pricing page. What is free can change.
• Pro: a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly. It renews by itself for the same period until you cancel. It gives access to the features listed for Pro on the pricing page while it is active.
• Lifetime: a one-time payment. It gives access for the lifetime of the product, which means for as long as WickLogs is operated. It does not mean your lifetime. It cannot be transferred to another person.

Prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page. We may change prices or plans. For a Pro subscription, a price change applies from your next renewal after at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can cancel before it applies. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.

6. Buying and Paddle

Paddle is the Merchant of Record for every paid plan. You buy from Paddle, not from WickLogs. The purchase contract, the price, taxes, invoices, payment and refunds are between you and Paddle under Paddle's Buyer Terms (https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms). WickLogs provides the Service you bought. We never see your card details.

To cancel a subscription use the Paddle customer portal (link in your purchase email, or https://paddle.net). Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Withdrawal and refunds are explained at /refunds.

7. Your data and what you allow us to do

You give WickLogs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, copy and display your data, only as needed to run the Service for you.

You also allow WickLogs to create the pseudonymized trade dataset described in the Privacy Policy and to sell it. This applies to the trades described there: instrument, direction, entry and exit time and price, planned stop loss and take profit. It stops for future sales when you object in Settings or delete your account. It does not reach data that was already sold.

You promise that you may upload the data you upload, and that doing so does not break your agreement with your broker, prop firm or any other third party.

8. Software licence

For the desktop app and plugins WickLogs grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use them for your own trading journal, as long as you follow these Terms. The full licence text is at /eula.

You may not copy, sell, rent or sub-license the software, remove licence checks, or reverse engineer it, except where the law gives you that right (for example for interoperability).

9. Acceptable use

Do not:

• use the Service for anything unlawful;
• disrupt the Service, its servers or other users, or try to get into accounts or systems that are not yours;
• access the Service with automated tools we have not allowed;
• resell or share paid access;
• upload malicious code.

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account. Where possible we warn you first.

10. Third-party platforms and data

WickLogs works with software, brokers and data sources made by others, including ATAS, Quantower, Sierra Chart, MotiveWave, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, CBOE, Yahoo and Finnhub. WickLogs is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to say what WickLogs works with.

Data from them is provided as is, without a promise that it is complete, correct or on time. Options data comes from CBOE and is delayed. You are responsible for your own trading platform, your broker account and the exchange data licences or subscriptions your platform needs. Their own terms apply to your use of them. If a third party changes or closes its service, a WickLogs integration can stop working.

11. No financial advice, trading risk

Nothing in WickLogs is financial, investment, tax or legal advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Statistics describe your past trades. They do not predict future results.

Trading futures and other leveraged products carries a high risk of loss. Your trading decisions are yours alone.

12. Beta features, no service level

Parts of WickLogs are in beta. They can change, break or be withdrawn. We aim to keep the Service running but we give no uptime guarantee and no service level. Keep your own copies of what matters (you can export your trades from the Account page). The beta terms are at /beta-terms.

13. Liability and your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited. This includes liability for intentional damage, for damage to life, body or health, and for criminal acts.

If you are a consumer, you keep all rights the law gives you, including your rights if digital content or a digital service is defective or not as described. These Terms do not take them away. Where a clause of these Terms would put you in a worse position than the mandatory law, the law applies.

WickLogs is not responsible for losses from your own trading decisions. If you are a business, our liability for other damage is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event, except where the law does not allow a limit.

14. Ending the contract

You can stop using WickLogs and delete your account at any time. Cancel any paid plan at Paddle as described in section 6.

We may end the contract or suspend access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue the Service we will tell you in advance by email. For Pro, nothing is charged after the Service ends. For Lifetime, section 5 applies.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms, for example because the Service or the law changes. We will email registered users and show the new date above at least 30 days before an important change takes effect. If you do not agree you can end the contract and delete your account before then.

16. Law, complaints and disputes

Hungarian law governs these Terms. If you are a consumer in another country, the mandatory consumer rules of your country still protect you.

Please contact us first at info@wicklogs.com. We answer complaints in writing as soon as possible.

Consumers can also turn to the consumer conciliation board (békéltető testület) that is competent for the place of our seat: Komárom-Esztergom Vármegyei Békéltető Testület, 2800 Tatabánya, Fő tér 36., Hungary, bekeltetes@kemkik.hu. Consumers can also complain to the consumer protection authority of their county government office (kormányhivatal).

Disputes go to the Hungarian courts. EU consumers may also bring a claim in the courts of their own country.
